Portomaso Casino
The Portomaso the most popular Maltes casino when it comes to international poker tournament. It has one massive hall which is utlised for poker tournaments capable of around 400 players at one go, and also offers many cash game tables starting from ½ going up to 5/10. The Portomaso casino is situated in St Julian's marina in Malta's nightlife capital, just 5 minutes walk from many bars and nightclubs.
What kind of players will be there?
Malta is the one of the favourite destinations for Italian poker players, so don't be surprised to hear if the dealers utter a few words in Italian here and there. English is of course the official language, at the poker tables so this will the the official language at the DSO. Scandinavian and Spanish players often take part in poker events organized in Malta and will probably be attending the DSO event.
How do I get there?
The majority of airlines fly to Malta. Low cost airlines are also included and Ryanair and EasyJet in particular, can accommodate you with any of your flight requirements. The main national airline is Air Malta (
